European School of Floral Design

European School of Flower design enrollment is now open. Our eight week session begins Thursday, October 7, 2010. The program is designed for anyone with a passion for flowers. All of our classes are instructed by master floral and event designer, Dieter Van Beneden. Each week our master floral and event designer will teach you one new technique from the eight basics of European floral design. At the end of the eight weeks you will be able to create any arrangement for any occasion. Our classes are a nice way to unwind and enjoy an evening with your friends or a place to come to make new ones! Space is limited so please call us or email us to sign up today.

European Flower Arranging Basics
The classes will cover the eight basic techniques of European floral arranging as well as a brief discussion on the different aspects of the America school of design vs. the European School of Design. Each class will center around one floral arrangement and the design techniques that it requires. You will learn about care and conditioning of flowers, creating a lush arrangement with seasonal blooms, discuss texture of flowers and other tips to help you navigate flower arranging on your own. At the end of each evening, you will take home your own original arrangement! Materials included are: fresh flowers, glass vase and use of all tools. Wine and cheese included!

Week 1 October 7, 2010- Creating a hand-tied bouquet
Week 2 October 14, 2010- Working with floral foam
Week 3 October 21, 2010- Wiring flowers
Week 4 October 28, 2010- Bridal work
Week 5 November 4, 2010- Cascading pieces
Week 6 November 11, 2010- Wreaths
Week 7 November 18, 2010- Baroque arrangement
Week 8 December 2, 20-10- Holiday decorations

Full Eight Week Registration- $1,000.00, plus tax
Four Weeks (you pre-select four classes from the eight)- $570.00, plus tax
Individual Classes- $150.00 per class, plus tax

Classes are on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm- 8:30pm in our midtown showroom located at 312 East 46th Street, New York, NY 10017 between First and Second Avenues.

Enrollment requires full pre-payment and is non-refundable due to limited space availability. In the event you can not make a class you are welcome to send someone as a substitute for you. The four week enrollment requires you to pre-select your classes in advance. Our refer a friend program entitles you and a friend to a one time 10% discount on classes when enrolling at the same time (not including tax).
